How do you prepare for your first float?
- Eat a light meal 1-2 hours before
- Remove your contact lenses
- Do not drink caffeine or smoke cigarettes for a few hours before
- Do not drink alcohol or do drugs
- Do not take any sleep aids or medications that may cause drowsiness or dizziness
- Do not shave or wax for 12 hours before
- Do not dye or perm your hair within four weeks of your float. Red hair dye and other bright colors may take longer than four weeks to be okay for floating
- Do not get a spray tan
- Remove jewelry
- Put long hair in a tie
